Hey All-
Pam Den Hartog from Super Brush, LLC is in development of a Swab-its foam swab designed to clean the "star chamber area" of AR-15s which comes with its own flexible plastic handle. They are in need of a few testers who will be shipped samples, and in turn you provide feedback. She wrote: "We’ll send our testers a couple of samples with a survey to do online. We usually give our testers 3-4 weeks to get back to us once they received the test samples. We’d like to get your surveys in sooner than that, if at all possible, but definitely by January 9, 2017." Anyone who wants to test email Pam below with their current mailing address and best daytime phone. eMAIL : [email protected] Web: https://www.swab-its.com Thanks! ===================== EDIT : 12/9/16 1PM CST ===================== THEY ARE FULL. No more emails please. Thanks to all who signed up. Lets hear how they work out when you get them. |

I'm confused. Which "Star chamber area" are we meant to use these devices on exactly. AR15.Com members or actual Ar-15's? Thanks, dirty star chamber guy. ![]() Quoted:

It's for cleaning your star chamber area? Sounds like barrel extensions may be the exception when surveys come around. Looking at their medical swab products, I may have assumed too much thinking it was for rifles, but at least it's posted in GD. |

Yeah, got to admit, reading it, thought I was supposed to clean my star with it ![]() In before the video of someone shooting and using this in the above mentioned manner at the same time. Seriously, I'd be interested in it if it works well, my rifles that I shoot suppressed look like the bottom of a barbecue pit in that area.

So, thoughts? They seem to work pretty good. IMHO/FWIW: The testing group should refrain from comment until after Jan 9 when all reviews and submissions are done. Reason is, to not "contaminate" other evaluator's opinion, tainting the study. After Jan 10, game on. |
| I thought they were decent. I liked the fact that they didn't leave behind lint. One brush worked for two cleanings, it probably still has some life in it. The only bad thing I thought was that the stick wasn't long enough to reach without getting your fingers into the upper. |

Ran into this too until I realized the stick bends so you could do it from underneath the receiver vs from the end. |
