So, the wife unit and I have made arrangements to be at the Inauguration on January 20th. Waiting to hear back from our Congresswoman about tickets for the Lawn. Since we requested them at 9 am on November 9th, we are probably first in line, or damn near, so we are expecting to get them.

My question is this: since the crowd will likely be 90% or higher Pro-Trump, do we, the audience, politely applaud the outgoing President Asshole's farewell address, boo and hiss, or stand in silent disapproval?

Also... it's probably time for all the Arfcommers that are going to plan our rally point. Maybe have a celebratory drink after the festivities.

Keep in mind that all of D.C. is a gun-free zone.

I'm local to the area and make it a point to never go downtown on Inauguration Day. It doesn't matter who is being inaugurated. I can watch it all on television.

I was watching Trump's speech in NC last night.  At about the 34 minute mark (if you care to look it up), Trump started talking about nearby Ft Bragg, and the various units homebased there.  He noted SF is currently deployed to 90 countries around the globe.

At the next pause, a male voice from the audience yelled, "GO ARMY!  Rangers lead the way!  Hooah!"  And everyone started applauding and cheering.

Now, we used to do that sort of thing to guest speakers and visiting officials, so I didn't think it was rude or odd in any way.  It felt totally normal.

And that's when it hit me.

I haven't watched all of Obama's speeches, so maybe I'm missing one, but I don't recall that sort of moto crowd participation happening during his time in office.

Just an interesting thing to note, I guess.

Our Congresswoman didn't even open requests until a week after. But my wife called her office the minute it opened on the 9th and basically begged. Got an email back from the secretary as soon as the request form went live that we were "on the list". Got another email the other day saying requests close on the 15th, if selected blah blah blah.

That being said, as soon as n0bama steps down and is not the president, you will be obliged to blade at 45deg and have a massive adrenaline dump while you perform a citizen's arrest.  When the Wookie protests you will be required to bravely go where no man has gone before and grab her by the pussy to assert your dominance; only to find out she isn't a she and doesn't have a pussy.  Have your wife video it as it'll surely go viral.

ETA - And don't be a douchebag.  Dress in a suit for your event.

This. Nothing that man has done has earned any respect from me. That fact that I should clap for him when he was basically appointed president for being a half black community organizer not earning it means nothing for me. That is basically saying that I should stand and clap for Hillary had she won. No f-ing way. FBHO is and will always be a pawn that did more damage to this country than any president before him.

It all depends on the forecast. If it's one of those pleasant 40 degree, clear, little or no wind January days, we will dress tastefully in our best. If it's going to be one of those "I hate life" fucked up ass-freezing days, I'm gonna look like I'm going deer hunting... deplorably dressed.
