Anyone here successfully hooked one up to an HD TV or projector? I bought a cheap s video to HDMI converter on Amazon but it doesn't work with 64. It looks like my options are a framemeister upscaler or have it sent in for the ultra HDMI upgrade. Both options would set me back a couple hundred dollars. I'm just looking to play goldeneye, Mario kart, and super smash bros without buying an older TV. |

I hook mine up to my projector all the time RCA (composite). You really don't have a composite input? Is it in a theater setup? If so, does your A/V receiver not upscale to the HDMI output? |

Quoted: I have a couple N64's. There's a reason the connectors are color coded ![]() Not sure if this is a trick question OP? I've hooked mine up to my HD but it has to be in the component section. You're not going to get HD quality from a console made in the early 90's I want to play on a projector that has no component input. Only hdmi. |

| you could build yourself a Raspberry Pi 3 and install retropi and play all the old games you want for less than 80 bucks and uses hdmi http://lifehacker.com/how-to-turn-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-retro-game-console-498561192 |

Are you sure your Component doesn't double as a composite? A lot of TVs do that. The "Y" will usually have a yellow ring within the green area. Like this one:
