Post 'em if you got 'em. This sexy beast is a Mossberg 500A, 9-shot 12 gauge. I attached the shell carrier and folding stock after I purchased it. 00 buckshot in it, and in the shell carrier. I had a TLR-1 mounted to it (mount is still there), but moved it over to an AR15. I am going to pick up another light on Black Friday.   |

After taking 2 shotgun classes I have come to realize that pistol grips on shotguns don't work very well.
Nobody on the range had a folding stock but several had pistol grips. Not one of them preferred it after the class. Why is that? To me it just seems more ergonomic when you have to turn the gun to port load or clear a malfunction. You can do it with a pistol grip but it isn't very comfortable. YMMV - We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. |

Each shot from 00 buckshot is like 9 glorious rounds of 9mm going downrange. With a 9 round capacity, this gun is basically an 81 shot 9mm...or almost the equivalent of 3 Glocks with 33 round mags. So to hate this gun and this round is to hate 9mm, Glocks, and America.  |

HD and shotgun together bring everyone in to shit everywhere. Shotgun thread? Let's talk. Here's my first 870 I bought when I was 18. Yes, I thought it needed a barrel shroud (shoulder thingy that goes up.) I leave it on to remind me of the comedy of youth. 
Then I grew up. 13" Saiga 12 SBS:

I have Salvo 12 chokes for both of the SBS, but it's currently in 12" formation for use on skeet. So (as I joked in the Supressed Shotgun thread) I don't need a stamp for a LBS (Long Barreled Shotgun)
