This... I suffered their posts for the last 18 months (plus 5 or so years I've been on FB) and hoped I would get to see a meltdown, I'm not deleting them now.

So did I, my general happiness increased by at least 20%. At first there's a bit of a hole and you feel like you're missing out on something but after a while you feel good like you used to before the stupid shit came along.

I disagree. Its naïve to only surround yourself (especially in internet land) with like-minded people. Two things will happen- you'll sway others to challenge their views and you won't have your own challenged. The byproduct will be misinformation on one, or both, sides of the fence.

Embrace the liberal people. Invite them to the range. Every person, right left or center, who has fired my MP5 now wants one.

One of my old friends and I are on opposite sides of the aisle. I don't purge him. I do state, when he says that the media is just doing what conservatives did with Obama, that if he can show me where conservative media said that Obama won because of racist uneducated blacks I would agree with him.
