Quoted: At my last job we called it "the Millennial Disease" when dealing with some 20-something who thought the tasks we gave him were beneath him. They need additional training. Ask them to follow you. Walk to the front door and point while telling them "that is the street". That is what will be beneath you if you do not complete tasks assigned you. ![]() It may take some time for that lesson to sink in. Either way you'll be correcting the problem. |

See, the Millennial Generation is in an interesting position. They have incredible resources available for bettering themselves and little social pressure to do so. Those with the natural desire to excel can do so and those with no desire to accomplish anything but sleeping to noon can do that as well. |

A common denominator amongst "Gen Snowflake's" is the internet: i.e., smart devices and phones. Gen Snowflakes now use the interwebs to answer any all of their maladies and social dilemmas.
This results in thousands of conflicting solutions and reasons for their self-generated conflicts. The smallest of complaints can now take on world wide support and empathy. In my day, you just dealt with shit. Got over it, and moved forward. |

Quoted:
And yet us "Snowflakes" are the most pro gun generation ever Truth to that. Us old farts let the MG ban go down with a hitch and never thought to challenge silencers, now -some- of the millennials are ready to war with the feds over it. |

I've seen articles about how millenials are "surprisingly pro gun" and stuff like that but the most comprehensive data I've seen on it is the stuff from Pew Research. They're not the most pro gun/anti gun control age group but they are up there. Seems like every age group is following a similar trend. http://www.people-press.org/2016/08/26/gun-rights-vs-gun-control/#age ![]() ![]() |

A couple of the 20-somethings we hired were rock stars at their jobs. The rest were dipshits. |

Quoted: Everybody hated us snarky and passive aggressive Gen X'ers when we were their age. I'm 37, so I was a 20-something not all that long ago. According to most parameters I'm a GenXer. I don't remember nearly as much hype and vitriol about my generation as I see about the Millennials. There really is something "different" about them (generally speaking, of course). |
