McQueary is the whistleblower, folks. He's the one who reported it. BTW, I saw another article where it said in his testimony, he said Paterno was the only person in the administration who treated him decent, told him to lawyer up, and warned him not to trust the administration. Sound advice. I think those two schmucks are still waiting for trial.

McQueary is still a piece of shit. He physically saw the rape of a kid and didn't do everything in his power to bring Sandusky to justice. That mother fucker should have been on every news show. Instead he later became a coach. He should be jailed not paid.

They're two rather very different places. One's a state affiliated school and one's a very old Ivy League school started by a founding father.

In your state it's like the difference between Alabama and, uh, well, I guess you guys don't have anything other than small schools and Football U's.

In closing arguments earlier Thursday, Penn State attorney Nancy Conrad emphasized McQueary had said he was damaged by public criticism that he did not to go to police or child welfare authorities when he saw Sandusky sexually abusing a boy in a team shower in 2001. Instead he reported it the next day to then-head coach Joe Paterno.

Slow your roll, bro.

If as McQueary says he saw a grown man molesting a boy in the Penn State Football showers, his response was only to tell the head coach .... don't you think that is not something to White Knight.

Most people would run into the shower and stop it. Not let the molestation keeping going on but stop it and call the cops.

He is a the paragon of virtue, he told a football coach .... the next day.

Claims he "heard it" and witnessed Sandusky and a boy in the locker room, but not the actual rape. That he knew something sexual was going on.

He supposedly reported it to his father and fathers friend that night, the head coach (paterno), then the higher ups 10 days later.

We demonize an entire community because of the way that community acted in the face of such a heinous crime that occurred over decades.   There are excellent examples of that behavior right in this forum.  The apologists were thick on the ground in GD after that story broke.

But hey, what's a little kid rape compared to having a successful football program, right?

Face it, Penn State will be associated with kid rape for a long time now.  Which is good since they earned that honor.

There was a bizarre fucked up culture at the very top at PSU that actively promoted deviancy.  And I am talking about graham spannier and his LGBT minions.
Look up the CuntFest that was held at PSU in the 1990s.   It was a tent for gay sex set outside one of the dorm complexes - anything was OK, gay orgies, drugs, but no food????   Who knows why that last one.   He did nothing to stop it.   Even after word got out, and people found out it was being paid for with student activity money, he did nothing.  Only after a state legislator threatened to withold state funding did he have it stopped, or more likely moved into the black.
This sort of depraved shit did not go on there so openly and brazenly until spannier came along.  Before that the gay groups had a few stupid little stunts, like "wear jeans on Friday to show you support LGBT".  You never saw so many khakis and camo pants in one place on those Friday's.
Paterno told mcqueary to watch out for the university administrators and lawyers.   They were the ones protecting Sandusky.   Do not cast aside that this was a move to protect and advance deviancy by these fucked in the head progressives.
And most telling of all, is just who was a guest in spannier's presidents luxury box at the football game the very day before the indictment was made - why none other the Jerry Sandusky.   Imagine that.

You might not find such heinous acts of perversion at all other colleges, but you will be hard pressed to find one that is not actively trying to promote and legitimize the gay lifestyle and even pedophilia.
American colleges are also a huge swamp that needs to be drained, as much as the one in DC.

Penn State is not known for child rape. Does everyone involved with the school rape kids or get raped? Penn State is known as the setting of a huge child rape scandals involving a bunch of people who didn't do enough to put the guy in jail from the beginning.

The hipocracy of people on this forum when Penn State is brought up is un fucking real. Don't demonize an entire community or group of people because of a dozen who failed to do the right thing.

And yet, everybody knew that he was referring to Penn State.  Because Penn State is now world famous for child rape.  Honestly, you might as well put it in the University brochures, it's what the school is known for.

And whatever issues we have in Alabama, systematically turning a blind eye towards child rape at a major university isn't on of them.

Penn State is associated with child rape. It's been the most notable thing about that school in the past decade.

This could have been solely about the actions of one evil man. Instead, much of the University's power structure wrestled with what to do because of implications for football. Anyone that cannot see that would have likely struggled as well. What to have done is so obvious to everyone else.

Where do people like you come from? We've had so many threads about this and every time, a few pedo lovers show up and are promptly beat down. But every new thread about penn state, a new crop of joepa minions show up.

ITT we spot all the plebs who don't know the difference between Penn State and Penn.

Yeah, because that's the salient issue in this thread.

They're two rather very different places. One's a state affiliated school and one's a very old Ivy League school started by a founding father.

In your state it's like the difference between Alabama and, uh, well, I guess you guys don't have anything other than small schools and Football U's.

Everybody knew it was about Penn State because it was in the thread title and the OP.

Then people ignorantly assumed PSU = Penn.

Only if all you care about is football.

Which is why it happened in the first place and is also part of the major problem with the modern American university system.

One of the fun things about living in Alabama (which is applicable anywhere, really) was watching the hordes of morons who were pathologically invested in Alabama (or Auburn) football but had not attended the school. Including people who literally had turned down full rides to go somewhere else. It's weird.

Penn should just not have a football program

Why? What did Penn do?

FIFY

(although I wouldn't have had the satisfaction of seeing Ohio State lose last weekend)

Jesus Christ.  No it's not .  You clowns all know exactly what the guy who posted that meant.  Grow the fuck up.

You probably agree that OSU absolutely MUST be called "THE Ohio State University" don't you?

Are you saying that if someone talks about a major U.S. university involved in child rape anyone would think it was any school besides Penn State?

I promise you, if you just go to random people on the street and ask them to tell you the first thing that pops into their head and then say "school football child rape" the vast majority will immediately pop back with "Penn State".

At this point, child rape is what Penn State is known for.  And it will be so for at least decades to come.  Rightly so.
