I'm interested in subscribing to Apple Music. I buy at least $10 or $15 worth of music a month from iTunes, and I'm wondering if I can save money by subscribing to Apple music and just downloading the songs for offline use. Note I'm not interested in streaming my library, so I'd download every song I "buy." Is this a good way to go about this from Apple Music users?

Yup, I did the same. I just signed up for it this week. They also have a student version for $5 a month if you have a .edu email.

So far works pretty good and I expect with more time they will add more features found in dedicated apps like Napster and whatnot.

Yes.

Backup your library before you subscribe.

Been a user since the beginning, I switched over from Spotify. Absolutely love it. I have one playlist that I keep downloaded and stream radio and new songs until I decide I want it on my downloaded playlist.

Is it better than Spotify?

I like it overall, earlier adopter.  I have noticed that some stuff I downloaded a while ago is no longer available to download.  I assume the licensing is ongoing and ever changing...
