| You always read about police having to go restrain some psycho because he was supposedly high on PCP. I may not be so worldly on hard drug use, but you never really hear about PCP drug busts, or parties with PCP or whatever. |

My uncle shot a guy in 1991 on PCP. 3 times in the heart, guy stopped, dropped knife and asked my uncle why he did that.
My uncle was quite dumbfounded and told the guy to sit down. He did and 30s later fell over dead. Guy lasted a full 30 seconds before dying with a perforated heart. Nasty stuff. |

Fortunately, that's usually Florida-man's thing, Ohio-man is just OD'ing on Carfentanil in his trailer. |

A few months ago, right as we were signing on for our afternoon shift dispatch was broadcasting about a male running around in the street assaulting people. We weren't quite ready to go but were following. Then they updated again that he was still on the move and chasing people. We hit lights and sirens and arrived just after the beat day shift car (two officer car) tried to Taser (unsuccessfully) this guy and had to go hands on. They had just cuffed him as we arrived and they were winded. We loaded his dumbass into the amberlamp and still had to hold him down. He was flexing and talking nonsense. Same story at the hospital. Us, security, restraints, etc. He just wasn't clearly in his right mind.
Finally he sobered up. He was from South Carolina and was in town (Nebraska) for a funeral. Supposedly smoked some laced weed. Had no recollection of what he had done. Turned into a really nice guy. Well, the last lady he chased had got out of her car to help another victim. She made it back to her car. This dude reached into her window and for whatever reason, she had a paring knife in her car. She cut his hands up. A few cuts to the hand were his only injuries. We booked him into jail later. I don't even remember his name but I never went to court for him so he's probably back in South Carolina. It's a helluva drug! |

The normal urine drug screen we use tests for it. I can say it's still around. Dissociative drugs scare the shit out of me. Why would you want to put your brain on LSD then disconnect your body from it? Bad shit happens at that point. Wait, what? The OP was talking about PCP. |

If you can't comprehend this from my post take English classes. Im done here. |

You might be surprised by the amount of people who carry weapons in their car, but don't own guns. Before I owned a gun I had a claw hammer under the seat of my truck. I pulled it on a homeless guy who was running up to my open window one time, he back pedaled and hightailed it out of there. |

I review legal documents for a good part of my day, and your post was....well...almost like something that someone on PCP would write. Hmm. Interesting.
No, you made no statement that is "must be like". Alluded to in an indirect manner, well...maybe.

"K2" was originally a brandname for one of the synthetic canniniods (JWH-18?). Those are fairly benign, and mostly like concentrated cannabis in effects, you might get very stoned, or fall asleep. There are some nasty, wierd, substituted amphetamine/cathinone/etc drugs that used to be called "bath salts" and they'll give you those PCP type stories. Fortunately we had LOT of hands to do it. Guy came in fighting on the ambulance and I helped the paramedic crew ride the stretcher from the ambulance ramp into the ER with this kid going apeshit the whole way. Seriously not fun. |

It's out there but it still is a niche drug. I used it in my youth. I never understood the negative hype. When I was younger the prevailing opinion on the relative "evilness" of drugs was something like: Weed LSD Mushrooms Blow Ecstasy Opium ===== <--- the line thou shalt not cross Heroin PCP PCP was TV zombie killer murderer shit, and heroin was fucking hideous and dirty needles in the arm. Stuff like meth wasn't well known, nor was DMT and mescaline and peyote were never seen, at least in the particular group I was familiar with. |

It sounds trite but, once I figured out that most of the negative hype surrounding drugs was bull shit, through experimentation, I stopped believing all of it. Consequently, I tried a whole lot of shit most people, even drug users, wouldn't. Some of it I quite enjoyed. Some of it, I enjoyed far too much. |

I remember conversations that went something like "if they lied to us about weed, what else did they lie to us about?" The overblown, excessive drama that people were exposed to in school about drugs was what I imagine growing up in a rabidly anti-gun household must be like. Fear driven bullshit. The people out there that are fuckups today are people that would be fuckups whether or not any given drugs existed, much less were outlawed or not. Us dirty hippies back then just wanted to be left alone while we tripped our asses off. Ah, reminiscing. |

Just because you don't hear about it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. PCP isn't a "party drug", but it does show up occasionally. I've made several arrests for PCP. That's exactly my point. You always hear about police busting people 'on' PCP but never, 'hey look at this stash of pcp we just found in this guys glove compartment'. |
