One of my favorite trips up was with my dad's old barber (RIP Jerry). We made our usual stop at Hickory Park before the game, got parked and were heading to Jack Trice. Tornadoes had been spotted on the ground in numerous areas, sirens going off like crazy. We were coming across a field to get to the shuttles they were running from Jack Trice to Hilton to get fans to safety, and I had to pee. Damn straight my 10 year old ass went right into a port-a-potty. They said it was a bad idea, I said I'd rather be in a protective cube if a tornado hit then get caught pissing in the wind. Good memories, and even though Ames is now only a 30 minute drive for me, I've only been to Hickory Park once since moving to Iowa. |

Arfcom can get anyone out of the woodwork. There's about 12 total employees at my work, 2 ISU grads, and a kid whose parents went to ISU, so that's who he cheers for. There's also 3 total Conservatives, me, older lady who doesn't give a shit about sports aside from racing, and a 17 year old high school kid. |
