I have a 18CU Frigidaire top freezer refrigerator that is only one month out of warranty.

My problem is that the freezer has lately been building up frozen ice drops on the top

of the front upper freezer ledge where the door closes against it. This unit does not have

an ice maker. I understand that the fridge is self defrosting. But is this normal? I've never

noticed it on other units in the past. Aside from that, everything seems to be working fine.

Also it has been very hot and humid in my area. But our AC is set at 69°.

I've done that. The problem that I'm seeing is that the weatherstrip on the door circled in green in the photo below.

Overlaps the top of the outside of the freezer compartment which is textured and the diagonal edge mouldings that

are circled in red in the photo below. Can that be a problem?

Since the fridge uses the same supply air as the freezer through the back wall, id also check the fridge door seals.  Clean seals on both doors, get on hands and knees and look for gaps. Put a bright light inside each compartment aimed at the door and shut the door. Turn off kitchen lights and look for light escaping.

Take a picture with the door closed. I want to see one of the gasket seal against the body.

I bet you have a gap there.

Look under the he gasket and make sure it is seated flat in the groove. There might be a magnet on the gasket or a plastic liner in the gasket depending on the design.

Use a hair dryer to soften the gasket and massage it and pull away from the base.

DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN !!!!

Forgot to add:

Level and square front to back and left to right. If the frame is not square the door won't seal.

Bottom view:

Lower door (NOT freezer door): With a flashlight inside the fridge I can see a little light coming from the circled area.

Inside corner of the lower door where the light seems to be coming from But will that cause the freezer problem?
Fridge also is setting level.

I called Frigidaire today and found out that my unit is still in warranty until 9-9-2016.

They are sending a local authorized repair company out to check the problem.

I will post a follow up with the results after the repairman has evaluated it.

this and make sure that nothing is caught in the door, even as small as plastic wrap or packaging, when the door is closed.

Frigidaire authorized warranty service company showed up today and checked out the fridge.

He fondled the seals on the top and bottom doors. He ordered a special Silicone lube that he

said that he is going to put between the seals and the doors. He also ordered a new evaporator

fan and spacer to move the fan closer, He states that this is a known problem for my situation.

We'll see?

Ordered parts were replaced on 9-8-2016. The problem seems to be repaired.

Thanks of the help and suggestions.
