i have learned i don't much like driving locally .

worked for a roll-off company , worked for a concrete company .

still went back OTR .

in the end , i missed the road .

Concrete truck in the big city matches or betters any other deals out there for money ave you get to sleep in your bed and watch your kids grow up.
I'm not sure about today, I know a few years ago San Francisco and Seattle were number one and two fit contract wages.

I know 3 guys that haul crude in OK that break 100k working 11-12hrs a day 5 days a week. They seem to be ok with it. Fuck OTR.

The company I work for will train people that are willing to earn it by starting in the warehouse.  The process takes a few years, but at least you're gaining company seniority.  Usually it goes loading trucks, driving school, working in the yard spotting trailers and fueling trucks/refrigerated trailers then parking them in the lot, moving trailers from one warehouse to another a couple miles down the road, and finally getting onto the extraboard as a driver.
