Have any of you guys ever built a semi auto UZI?  I just finished one ( a pistol, no stock) and the hole where the stock fits in the rear lines up exactly with the firing pin spring, allowing the spring to escape out the rear. How do you fill it?

Update: I really didn't like the look of the stock nut. So I made a little plug with a flange  and a small shank on the inside to center the spring. Parkerized it and it looks MUCH nicer, like it belongs there. It has the added advantage of making it look less likely that I plan to put the stock on a pistol UZI. FWTW LOL!

Your supposed to still have the stock nut (#3 in the pic) inside the back of the receiver.

Do you have a plastic buffer in it?

Or maybe that was it...I don't recall without looking. I can post pics of the internals tomorrow if you need OP.

Thanks!  I thought about putting the nut in but thought maybe there was something else.

Yes, I have the plastic buffer.

It's been fun!
