A year of my life came down to looking at a squiggly line and saying the right words, but I passed the last portion of NREMT-P testing today. I guess I now have a license to kill . It still hasn't sunk in that I'm a paramedic now.

This thread is for you to tell me how much harder it was back in the day

Congratulations

It was easier back in the day, just a shot of wiskey and a stick to bite down on

Another vote for easier long ago. The town I grew up in had a volunteer fire department and civil defense unit which I was a part of. I got certified as an EMT for that unit with just a few hours of lessons in 3 or 4 weekend sessions. I knew just enough to be dangerous but had a patch on my jacket.

Good Job! I'm just a lowly FF/EMT, but 25 years in.

I went through Medic school in 95, but never worked as one.

Now I supervise Medics!

I've been a FF/EMT for 10 years, finally go sick of not being able to do the 'cool stuff' and went for it. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew

Thanks folks, it still hasn't sunk in!

Maybe you should change that to a license to save. Congrats.
