I was gifted two guns and I just needed some help on identifying what they are. One is a Remington 1100 but I can't figure out its year of manufacture and the other is a shotgun that has no numbers or markings on it.

There should be some markings on the barrel, but if you take it apart, there will be proof marks on the barrel flats and receiver flats. I just went through this recently with some old Belgian and German SxS double guns |

Take the foreend off the double barrel.
Open the action. Remove the barrels from the action. Check the water table (flat area on action) and the bottom surface of the barrels where it meets the water table (breech end). Look for proof marks. That will at least give you a chance at identifying the country of origin. |

Barrel Date De Coder-

Belgian proof marks. The date can be sorted out from the proof marks, or at minimum narrowed down to a few years from the Liege stamp.
That's a pretty nice looking old gun except for the barrels. Better than I expected when I saw the bottoms first. https://imgur.com/a/kA0Wr https://imgur.com/a/NxzYx https://imgur.com/a/RdDbM |
