How do you like them?In the poll above, assume milk or cream is a given. I just made some with milk, butter, sour cream, salt and pepper, chili tepin AND SUGAR. Best. Ever.

Must have bacon crumbles.

NOT BITS, CRUMBLES.

Real, fried bacon, chilled and crumbled.

Potatoes are boiled, uncovered, in lightly salted water,

Hand mashed, with butter... and the bacon. crumbled.

Minced garlic is occasionally added.

Psssh. No Sour Cream, No Half and Half, No Cream Cheese. Your add ons are Amateurish. Mashed potatoes with Cream cheese. Mashed with sour cream. mashed with shredded cheese. Any time you Mash Potatoes, you add Melted Butter(not margarine) and add one of the following to them. : Sour Cream, Cream cheese, Shredded Cheese, Bacon, Onion, Garlic.(should be boiled with the taters)

There are many, many more variations.

I like them mashed with skins on, use butter (kerrygold), milk, salt, pepper, and mix in chopped scallions at the end. Can top with chives and good cheese (kerrygold irish cheddar) if you want, or can cook the potatoes with garlic. I use a pressure cooker to get the potatoes ready to mash.

Butter, condensed milk and mash it all together. I'll add bacon, cheese or roasted garlic if I feel like it that day. I let everyone add salt and pepper at the table, I have to limit salt intake so 99% of the time I forget to add it anyway.
