Just saw a meme about it. I don't think I've seen it in 14 years. I remember it being awesome. Is it worth a watch?

Best cartoon show I've ever seen.  The artistic style was extremely compelling due to its simplicity.

Additionally, there was no ending.

Such a lust for revenge?

Yes

I still watch it occasionally. Now that I think about it the only TV shows I really rewatch are: Firefly, Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis, early seasons of the Simpsons, some South Park episodes, and Samurai Jack. I should probably give BSG and Stargate Universe another go,

It's coming back. They're gonna finish the story, I think.

I appreciated the use of silence and a serene tableau to build tension.  You knew serious shit was about to go down any time you heard a gentle breeze or chirping birds.

Yep, supposed to have a tv-ma rating for violence too and air on Adult Swim unlike the original.

My luck, Michael Bay will direct it just to put the final nail in the coffin my childhood.

Very much so. Not sure why it didn't get more attention than it did.

If they bring it back for a finale they'll need to replace Mako, the guy who did Aku's voice, who died a while ago.

One of his voice acting students replaced his role in the Avatar cartoon mid-season following his death, so that would be one option.

I have recently been wearing my old Samurai Jack t-shirt, a gift eons ago, to help, in a karmic way, to bring about production of more new episodes.

MTV was killing it with their animated series back then. Liquid Television was some cutting edge shit. The Maxx was a great show, but it was seriously dark. Most people weren't ready for that type of animation.

I thought it was pretty mediocre, for a variety of reasons. The big one being a problem I have with all modern samurai shows. The world these shows are set in is just too weird.

I mean, guy with sword constantly triumphing over foes with guns? Even before I was a gun enthusiast I thought that was stupid.

Also, Jacks refusal to use time travel if someone's life may or may not have been on the line constantly pissed me off to no end. Time travel is a plot device to be used sparingly. Otherwise your story eats its own tail. And this show was set in a universe where practically every Ali, Dick and Poindexter either had a time machine or knew where one could be found!?!

The Scotsman was fun in small doses though.

Wasn't there a conspiracy theory that Samurai Jack was set in a post apocalyptic future of the Power Puff Girl's universe?

I haven't seen either in years but I remember them being good.
