| It's been about a year since there was one of these (as far as search yields), so I'm wondering what's the current recommended gas grill. I've always just had a normal weber charcoal grill, but want a gas for the convenience and so I don't have to store the charcoal or anything inside. What are the better options out there? Looking to stay under $500.00 unless something is really worth it. |

Weber, you can't beat Weber. We have both a charcoal kettle and 2-burner gas. The burners go up and down, rather than across. Much easier to have a hot side and cool side.
And the system for telling how much gas is left actually works. And the ignitor uses a AA battery. Very reliable and works every time. Unlike the piezo (sp?) system. cap |

Quoted: Weber. Whatever your flavor. I'll say this. Spend an extra $200 or so and get one of the Genesis series. It will last you 20+ years. The $499 big box other brand grill, not so much. Plus, you will never regret having the Weber. |

Weber 3 burner. Genesis is better but the Spirit is a great grill also. I have a Genesis, great grill, was worth every penny. The difference is the Genesis is made in the USA the Spirit had in China. I bought the Genisis with the side burner thinking I'd never really use it. I use it every time I want to deep fry something, now it's time to get a good wok. |

Webber Genesis, yes it's over the $500 budget, but well worth it. I had a Weber that lasted me 13 years before I sold it......everything worked great. I sold it because we built an outdoor BBQ area with a built-in gas grill. I still get my veteran discount at home depot out here, so it looks like I could get it for around $720. What on it makes it so much better? I'm not writing it off, just curious. |
