Decided to pick up a ribeye and try my hand at sous vide today. Not having a sous vide cooker I opted for the cooler method and finished it off with a propane torch. So here it is, sous vide ribeye and steak fries. The beer is New Glarus Bubbler. Also making an appearance is the Eagle Rare I was sipping on while waiting on the steak to cook. The guns are a Windham Weaponry SRC AR-15, and a Springfield Armory XD9 Service Model. The steak was fucking delicious, but next time I think I'll go for a little more sear with the torch as I was a bit apprehensive this time and afraid I would overcook the steak with it. That, and next time go for a thicker steak...this one was a little under an inch thick, but that was all I could find in the store being July 4th weekend.

Invest in a good cast iron skillet, you'll get a much better sear and maillard reaction than that torch.

SV steaks are great....nb4thehaterz

Sometimes I'll SV and finish on a scorching hot grill (700*+) for the best of both worlds.

10/10 just because your flush mount lights look like boobs and therefore your thread will be locked.

It is a seasonal, and its delicious. My fave NG Beer is Enigma though......one of their 'unplugged' beers, and they haven't made it in 2 freakin' years.

At least you got the fork on the right side, but failed with the knife.
I think it is customary to cut open the meat to show us how dead or undead it is.

Whoops, forgot. Cooked to 133 degrees, medium rare edge to edge.

Solid whiskey selection.
Steak fries look bland.

Just had the hefeweizen from Tyranena on tap yesterday and it was pretty tasty.
