I have owned AR's off and on for years.  My first was a Colt Sporter HBAR that I bought 2 weeks before the crime bill went into effect and unfortunately sold a year later to make a house payment...  Either way, I have played with Rock Rivers, Bushmasters, DPMS, and have played a lot recently with the affordable PSA stuff.

Well, I decided I wanted another Colt and was going to go with a LE6920 M4.  I went and picked up a couple of the OEM-1 which come without the furniture since I was going to put magpul on them anyway.  The price difference was roughly 170 dollars cheaper for no furniture (except grip to hold safety goodies).  The clerk comments about one of them having a really cool serial number and so I look at it to see.

I got Colt M4 serial number LE500000!!!  I have purchased the 1/2 millionth Colt LE serial number!  I don't know about collector value, but now I don't want to shoot that one so she will probably sit in the safe.  I am  not planning to ever get rid of her and will keep her pristine.  I am going to shoot the shit out of the other one instead.

Really cool.

Meh, you're just doing what the majority of arfcom does. Unless it's a Colt Commando with the LE roll marking, an SSA, 1911, or possibly another AWB, it will probably never raise in value.

Contgrats on the purchase!  You'll love it.

I just recently picked up a 6720, and an OEM1 & 2.

Fit and finish on all of them is terrible, but I don't care..  They're shooters and the BEST value for what I paid for em.

Buy a cheap Anderson lower, snap it onto the upper and shoot the shit out of it. That lower is the only exceptional thing.
