I got drunk in public with him after a show he did, when he showed up at the blues bar I was at next to the venue. He plays decent guitar. As I was the only paying customer, we had a great time. No, I did NOT go out back with the musicians between sets...

I have seen him live in Nashville. It was a pretty good show. I was pretty happy with it. You weren't allowed to bring your own alcohol...But he did.
He got into some very dirty jokes...
