he largest medical organization in the United States, the American Medical Association, passed a historic resolution last night in response to the weekend’s mass shooting. After years of tiptoeing around the topic of gun control, AMA leaders voted to officially call gun violence a public health issue — and respond accordingly. That means flexing the organization’s powerful political muscle on Capitol Hill to refocus federal funds toward studying gun violence.

To see this through, however, Congress would need to lift a 20-year-old ban that blocks the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from funding any research related to gun violence. But the AMA, with one of the largest political lobbying budgets of any organization in the U.S., appears ready to fight.

They have never tiptoed on the issue of gun control. They have always been leftist fucksticks. Fuck them and the horse they road in on.

Yep I knew a guy who was a chief medical examiner for a big county who was the biggest libtard I've ever seen. Would openly talk about how great communism is, white privilege, and would mock gun ownership. I couldn't stand to be around him for more than a few minutes because EVERYTHING was political.

Apparently good at what he does but outside of that was a complete moron

are they going to explain how we have an 'epidemic' when the murder and violent crime rates are half what they were in the 90's when Clinton was in office?

LOL

The AMA represents <20% of physicians.  It's mostly Academics, Med students, and Leftists.

It's the same people already pushing for it.

Asking a doctor's opinion on guns makes as much sense as asking my FFL about heart surgery.

The AMA represents doctors even less than those Police Chief associations represent LEOs.

Virtually all of the AMA brass aren't even practicing physicians per so but actually the bloodsuckers that have carved out a lucrative spot as government-mandated middlemen.
