I had a "friend" who got his kicks by slapping pink triangle stickers on cop cars in Madison , Wi..... there was a lot of stink going on because the chief of police was a lesbian , people were not against it , actually it was in the media because there were cops saying that it is why she got the job..... t |

LAPD and prolly LA Sheriff actively recruit gays at gay pride events, one of the highest ranking LAPD guys is a open gay guy, who is under investigation for sexual misconduct that alleged to have happened in the 70s. dont know why people are pissing about this, we had a BULL DYKE running things at the top of the federal level. anyone remember "torchy" reno? LAPD and Sheriff all carry smith autos or berettas, and i believe long beach PD carry the same. dont know who is carry 1911s, outside of SWAT. |

Well, a bunch of us at the Fire Department just had a bumper sticker made up that says "HONK IF YOU SUPPORT GAY COPS" and next time the captain on the dept who is also a cop comes to a meeting while on duty it is going on his patrol car. We already got him him with a huge one that said "DEPARTMENT ASSHOLE"! |

I just had a brainstorm ....(gasp)... if we combine this thread with the other thread running on the board, we could have ... "Cops dressing like homosexuals to issue tickets..." I have heard of loving your work, but this could take cavity searches to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! eeeeek! |

SWAT useually uses quite a few different toys that patrols cant. Thats part of their job. Most departments are anal about the duty sidearm and single actions are useually not avaliable for carry. |

IIRC, LAPD SWAT is issued two Kimbers, one decked out for SWAT use, and one for regular duty use. |
