Anyone use one?  The Rachio popped up as an ad on a website.

A friend recently bought a Skydrop controller and is very happy with it.

just stay the hell away from Irrigation Caddy.  its a mom and pop org that offers 0-no support.  the firmware update procedure is reminiscent of
installing old EISA cards or MFM drives in old ass PC's
I have the Rain Machine http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CT5PNBU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_tt

on my amazon wish list.   I will probably get this one.  only thing missing was a wired Ethernet port so have to go WiFi

one good thing about this unit.  .while it makes full use of the net and cloud to get all the bells and whistles.  it does not need either to run.
it can serve it's own web pages for setup and local use purposes./

We have a gen1 Rachio and it's been great.

You have to put a little time into getting it dialed in with your nozzles and precip  rates but once you do it's good to go.
