MyGunDB finally locked me completely out. No idea what is going on, but I consider my information lost.

What are you guys using for software? This is for a personal inventory.

I started an Excel spreadsheet. Seems simple and it can easily be opened, unlike the My Gun DB stuff. Just spent 30 minutes in one safe and decided I need a break ( That almost completed the door. I am dreading having to do them all again). The wife would be a great help, but then she might see how many are actually in the safes or other places in the house

Bump for evening shift.

Anyone have any good programs or ideas on how you guys keep track of your guns?

I just take a pic of each gun and a close up of the s/n and dump them in a directory that gets backed up off site.  I don't need a searchable database so it does the job with minimal effort.

Why did you switch from Excel to proprietary software that has you by the balls?

He seemed pretty nice and had a bunch of us here demoing it. Now that it locked up, I am screwed!

Never should have left Excel. I know, but I was hoping there might still be something out there.

I just use Excel.  Different tabs for each category (Long guns, Shotguns, Pistols, Ammo, Optics, Accessories, etc.)  I even attached pics for insurance purposes.

I started playing around with One Note and might move it into there.  Then each gun will basically have its own page in the notebook where I can attach PDF receipts, pics, stamps, etc.

I used to use Excel... and Lotus before that.  Now all my stuff is in Access.

If someone was smart they could make an excel template and then share it with the class.
