What is the syntax inside the img, /img tags to change the size of a displayed image?  Say the source image is 1200x1000 pixels, how do you display it at 600x500 without actually resizing the jpg file?

Thanks for your thoughts...

It completely depends on the board, and how the developers implemented it.

Thanks for the reply, Subnet, can it be done on ARFOCM?  The thing is, most images are so large, they need to be reduced on the BB environment.

Arfcom automatically scales really big images (I forget the actual dimensions).

You can scale them manually in the WYSIWYG editor, but I don't know the BBCode off hand in the classic editor, to do it manually. Once I get back inside after finishing this beer and cigarette, I can probably figure it out.

Huge 2592x1936 image straight off my camera:

Same image, resized to 643x480 in the WYSIWYG editor:

Hmmm, same size on my display.  Thanks for your good efforts.  I also posted this question on the Tech Support forum.  Hopefully there is a way to do it.

The WYSIWYG editor is ignoring my height x width parameters. Hang on...

It looks like it's replacing yours with the original parameters

When I preview it, it looks fine. Once I submit the post, it just shows the original image - with no HxW parameters. Kind of annoying.

I'm actually a bit stumped at the moment. Arcom is ignoring normal BBCode conventions.

Thanks Subnet.  It might not be possible.  I'll keep trying stuff and follow the Tech Support thread.

Lemme email GoatBoy on this. He's normally pretty good about answering questions from me.

Ask him how the site redesign is coming and if I can get a beta invite.

This thread needs moved to the test post forum.  You boys obviously need some moderation over site.
