You guys and gals are going to get a kick out of this fur sure.

So, a girl I was friends with all through out school has a sister that was married a few years ago. I always noticed that the sister never changed her last name on facebook. Knowing the sister, it didn't surprise me at all, she is a SJW and a feminist, OK what evs, her life to live.

Well it turns out she didn't change her last name because her husband changed his last name to hers.

Maybe he had a bad last name like "assface" or something. Mike Assface would be a bad way to go through life.

Did you ridicule him?

Ask him when the marriage goes south, if he'll get alimony.

Meh, I understand the need for the children to have a last name, and I HATE the hyphenated BS, but I always though the practice of the woman taking the man's last name kind of strange.  I does connotate ownership.  I can understand why some woman have a problem with it.

Now taking her last name is stupid, as if it undoes the strangeness of the practice.

I know this bitch with a hyphenated last name, and neither of the names are her husband's. And yes, she's a total SJW psycho and the husband is an affeminate pussy.

I don't have an issue with hyphenated last names.  I wish my last name was hyphenated because my mother's maiden name isn't going to carry on. It's a unique spelling and a very uncommon last name and now it's gone forever.

We have a neighbor who joined his and her last name.

So they went from Tom Shitface and Mary Badfuck to Tom and Mary Shitfuck.

They also work the polls handing out dhimicrat pamphlets.

I just laugh at them when I walk by.

Nor is my mother's, but my grandpa changed his last name when he got back from fighting in WW2 so it's not like it has a lengthy history. Go to court and get a name change if you feel so strongly about it.

I think the parents should be able to decide on which last name the child takes.  If they have a very special last name, they can choose that.

You CAN use it as a middle name for your children so that it carries forth.

It's too late now, but my mom's maiden names can be traced back all the way to the old country and the town I was born in, grew up in and where all my mom's side the family lives was founded by an ancestor. The lineage was mostly the reason.

My wife hyphenated her last name because she's the last one in her family with the name. I objected to her decision to hyphenate her name when we first got married. But I got over it.

Good friend of mine too his wife's last name 20 years ago.

It seemed weird unless you knew his rationale:

1) His father abused him horribly as a child.
2) His last name was tough to pronounce
3) His wife had a pretty cool last name

So in that case, made sense.

Eh, the likelihood of me being able to spend the rest of my life with someone who takes offense to a woman taking a man's last name is pretty slim.

My wife was all about ditching her maiden name since it was 'Smith', mine is a bit more unique.

That being said I was the last child producing male in the family until my boy came along. He was followed by my two daughters, which is exactly what my dad did.

For the sake of our family name I hope he's not gay
