  She had asked me to work on her FN and get it to firing condition so it has a new South African made R1 Barrel and new front end parts for the gas system. It's been an off and on project mostly because the barrel that was on it before was too far gone so it was just finding the proper parts to bring it back (It was an R1 Kit with Rhodie heritage)......She was very happy to get this back and very happy to call it hers finally.  |

My mom used a model 94 winchester for deer hunting for years. Then she fell in love with my new (old) M1 Carbine three years ago. First time out with it she shot a doe in the head and dropped it at 75 yards.
Then she had a stroke in her eye and can't shoot anymore. She was 73 when she got the doe though. |
