Recently started a new job and I have searched through all of the policies and there isn't one regarding concealed carry. Furthermore there are no signs on the door.
The question is do I ask and risk them making a policy and putting up signs? ETA:. Recommend any deep carry options for a G19 |

How would they ever know? Only in a worst case scenario of gear failure or having to use it probably Well having to use it may be excused. Now gear failure would be an issue. Double check all policies they like to hide it in the Code of Conduct most of the time. All my jobs have had the No CC posted and also informed at the same time when going through orientation. |

I've looked over every single policy they sent me and I can't find it. Everything else was there, drugs, alcohol, harassment, etc but not a mention of guns Going to re look over tonight |

How would they ever know? I sadly work at a location that does not allow any weapons on premises. However there was an employee recently that was discovered to have a concealed carry on them at work. I know someone in the area they worked and it was noticed due to very minor printing. It only takes one little glimpse to trigger the nervous nellies of the world to call security. To the OP I would agree if there is nothing documented and you are operating within the confines of the law you should be okay. Instead of asking management directly perhaps test the waters with your co workers. Nothing as blatant as "hey is it cool if I carry here?" but maybe bring up a recent news story about concealed carry at work (Google should give you plenty of news to work from). If they seem very pro 2A then you could ask more direct. |

Concealed is concealed brother.
Do your best not to make a thing out of it. Out of sight out of mind kinda thing. I would venture that asking would likely come back as a no simply due to liability. Maybe down the road hint at some things once you know them better. |

My company is the same way - no policy either way. I just keep it well concealed and keep my mouth shut. No one knows I carry. G19 in an Alien Gear 3.0, FWIW. What position do you carry? I was thinking about getting a Raven concealment but I don't know what else is out there really. |

I never asked and I was never told. After a conversation one day my boss asked my a pointed and direct question, Do you carry at work?
I told him I do and I have since the day I started. He was a bit surprised but never said another word about it. About a month later he started asking for recommendations for CCW classes and pistols. ETA This did not come up till I had been here almost 2 years. |

Where I work is signed against concealed and open carry due to some drunk employee showing up with a gun after hours, firing his pistol into the air and putting a hole in the roof of the building I work in. legally I cannot carry inside, but I work in a part of a large building where no one else really works. I keep my gun in a bag that does not say "gun". Due to Opsec, I am not going to say if I carry in the building or not, but I can quickly get to my gun if some copper stealing turd tries to cause problems. The place I work is not in the best part of town. |

Last place I worked actually had a policy banning guns both in the building and in the company vehicles. I and many others, including my boss, ignored the fuck out of it - but we did generally keep our mouths shut about it beyond other people we knew carried. I pocket carried a P3AT because my job often had me bending over and that ruled out IWB. |

You have direct control and visual, you know 100% of the time if you are printing or if a cover garment has ridden up, no need to reach and feel or adjust anything . There's Cooks Kydex, JM, and specialty plastic stuff like the holster from Raven , IF you carry Glock. T. Rex arms does a bunch of AIWB rigs for affordable with lots of options and the "spur" that keeps the grip tucked like the Raven and that other fancy one people have.. something partners with gcode. |

I worked at a restaurant in downtown Cleveland part time and they had no guns allowed policy, I had a S&W chiefs special in a belly band I wore under my chefs coat.
No way was I going to be unarmed down there when I got off work at 2am or so and I If I were to be fired oh well it was only part time work |

I can wear an untucked shirt 95% of the time; pretty much every day unless I'm wearing a suit. I wear an undershirt tucked in over the holster and an untucked shirt over that. If I'm wearing a suit I usually throw an LCP in my briefcase, or I'll put it in an ankle holster. |

Considering that wasn't the plan anyway, I have zero problem with that |
