I bought a couple of charging pads and the wafers that connect to the charging points in the battery compartment (Samsung S3 phones).

Without the cover on, up against the bare wafer it'll charge from my computer.  Without the Otterbox Defender on it'll charge from a wall outlet.  But with the Defender on it won't charge at all.

Is there a quick fix to boost the connection so it'll charge with the Defender on?

Thanks

Look for a charging pad worth more coils.   Makes a larger charging area and better chance of hitting the sweet spot.

Ditch the pad and use the cable, or get a phone that was designed for wireless charging, or get a phone that was made within the last two years, or...

The cheap 5v/500ma USB phone chargers don't seem to provide enough juice for Qi charging.  Try a 2amp charger.

Also, those $5 charging pads from Ebay break quickly.  They seem to always break at the connection.

Good enough, I appreciate the info.  Back it goes!

EDIT:  Holy crap!  These must be world class pieces of shit!  I asked for a refund on ebay and within a few seconds I got a message saying I was already issued a refund and get to keep the items (garbage anyway).

Thanks
