Last night I cracked open an egg and stirred it up in a bowl to flavor a side dish of rice.
I dumped the remaining stirred up egg in a zip-lock baggy and put it in the fridge to be used to season more rice tonight. Am I going to die? Anyone else tried this? |

and I thought I was cheap. ![]() Come to think of it, doesn't a single zip lock bag cost about as much as 1/2 of an egg? OP, I hope you're going to wash and reuse that zip lock bag. Quoted:
You'll be fine from a sanitation point of view. From a mental point of view, however..... |

Why would you think that you would die? I can tell the OP has never been a Boy Scout - eggs will keep for days on end without going bad. I know that eggs will keep longer than their original Best Buy date. The ones I had recently were over 2 months past their Best Buy date. Were fine to eat. Never got sick. What happens when you crack open one and save the contents for another day? RIF. ETA, Was a Boy Scout. Have the uniform to prove it. |

I put mine in the littlest Rubbermaid containers I have. Egg keeps just fine. |

Post count, member date... You must be a young buck. Your point? Just seemed like you post was ... odd, in a certain way. I am just interested in trying to keep from making myself sick doing things others would not dare to even try. If that is odd, I am fine with it. |
