The dumba$$ cop probably thumbed back the hammer (against training) and had her finger on the trigger (also against training). It does not look that way. If you look at that video clip frame by frame it appears the hammers is down and she fires the pistol double action. Looks like you can see the hammer coming back. Stupid either way. |

WOW, you can see thr round strike the guy's shoulder and the resultant hole. Whadda cow. Poorly trained people have no place in law enforcement. LEOs that do nothing to keep themselves trained and current in thier skills as LEO's have no place in LE as well. The fact that a woman has an ND is not ammo against women in LE, that's a silly premise for an argument. I have know quite a few male LEO's and military who have had NDs. Should they be out on their asses too? There are plenty of good reasons why women shouldn't be in LE. That ain't one of them. |

Quoted: I know I would feel warm and fuzzy if she was my partner. I guess the warm and fuzzy would start after she shot me. I think the warm and fuzzy would be your soaked underwear... That is the problem with mixed-gender workplaces and proper etiquette for this kind of fiasco. If a male co-worker did this while I was handcuffing somebody, they would have a major a**-whooping coming. But what do you do to a female? |

goin thru frame by frame it looks like the hammer is back, looks the same as it does after she fires. I looked over my 92 elite and I ::think:: hers looks like mine with the hammer back (perhaps the regular 92fs has a larger hammer than elite, dunno). My elite has a very light SA trigger, and a not so light DA trigger. It would be quite a chore to accidentally pull the trigger in DA on one. Not saying she couldn't have... just seems much more unlikely. Regardless, she shouldn't have needed the gun pointed even close to the suspect (who looks like he's not putting up much of a fight with another cop on his back cuffing him), and she DEFINITELY shouldn't have had her finger on the trigger if she was gonna point it at/near someone who wasn't a threat. |

So. Her partner was cuffing a guy, who was on the ground, face down. He wasn't moving, or resisting, and she shot the guy in the shoulder (But the gun just went off!). I would hope that she's at LEAST charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Dumb bitch should be fired, and criminally charged. (no disrespect meant to any police officers around here.) [flame] |
| I couldn't get it to go frame-by-frame, but it looked to me like she was covering the BG's head (okay, to a point), she had a ND, the round missed the BG, and the round or at least part of it hit her PARTNER in the arm. Any Las Vegans here want to fill us in on the full story? |

Quoted: Someone else might of said this but the black cop looks like he said something to her that made her move the muzzle of the gun down a few inches. Might of kept him from getting shot. It is my belief that he told Mrs. Fife to put that damned heater down before someone got hurt. |

Heard shortly before the shot rang out... "Look you stupid newbie, cover the BG...You point that gun at me one more time and i'm gonna get off this guy and shoot you myself"... "I said cover the BG you idiot...It's all fun till someone gets shot in the eye." BANG |
