| I've procrastinated long enough. Its about to be on. Just regular ol pine fence that has been up several years. I'm going with a solid brown stain and will be spraying it. I have a long 125 foot span across the back of my property that no one really sees. Considering only staining one side of it. Anyone have experience with the effects of one side stain only? The internets said it would warp to one side. I didn't realize how expensive this shit is. 30 bucks a gallon and I need 20 gallons at least, maybe 25. |

Just paint it with your used motor oil. Save lots of money. Dump the leftover old oil in the nearest creek. I use about 50/50 diesel and motor oil on outdoor wood items. Trailer bed, fence posts, barn poles, etc. My utility trailer has a pine bed in it and it has been outside in the weather everyday for 25 years. Twice each year i spray it with oil and diesel. That bed is as sound as it ever was. Leaves the wood a black/grey. |
