Its such a nice day here.  The kids are outside playing ball, everyone is kind of doing their thing and only a few people were hungry for "dinner" so we just threw some things on the grill.  I was in the mood for a more adult-flavored burger so I cooked down some onions before-hand.  Simple and quick but quite tasty if I do say so myself!

Prep time - diced onion soaking in some Balsamic vinegar, beef patties seasons with only fresh black pepper, cheddar brats, hot dogs, American cheese for the kiddo's burger and creamy gorgonzola for mine.

Cooking the balsamic onions down in some olive oil low and slow.  (about 15 minutes)

Bringing the grill up to temp for a quick scrub-down

Half-way through cooking.  Just flipped the burgers and added the hot dogs.  This is a 3-burner grill.  I cook burgers with the middle burner off, side burners on high.  2-3 minutes per side produces a nice, juicy pink burger with some crust on the outside.

Cheese time!

Aannddd done!

Food:
Burgers with gorgonzola and diced onions caramelized in balsamic vinegar
Cheddar brats (my kids ended up stealing 1.5 of these)
Corn with a little butter
Unsweetened iced tea
Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy Imperial Stour

Knife: Kershaw Blur
Sidearm: Springfield TRP Operator
Shotgun: Benelli M4 Entry (SBS)
Rifle: 5.56 10.5" SBR (not quite done, my latest build and still a few things missing), Surefire SOCOM 5.56 RC suppressor

The burger, gorgonzola and balsamic onion combo was drool-worthy.  I actually said "damn" out loud it was so good.

Well, guns are back in the safe and I gots more beer to drink.  Happy Sunday!!

I wanted a salad, we had nothing.  Our fridge went tits-up last week and the new one came in a few days ago and we haven't really re-stocked yet.

How the hell is it a 10/10? The fork is on the wrong side, no reloads for the gauge, and it is hamburgers and hotdogs

Tea has to be sweet to begin with, then you take the sweet out of it to be unsweetened.

That's too much work, though. What you made was iced tea.

I would still eat the food.

Weird food choice. I mean, meat is good and all but that shit needs some buns. NFA is always good for a high score though.

You should cut them and expose raw meat and blood. I'm thinking 2-3 minutes per side and they may have warm inside.
