Is there an app that lets you set waypoints (more than one preferably) on a map and then navigate back to them?  I've found some that claim to have this functionality but they all suck/aren't straight forward to use.  Looking for recommendations.  I'm willing to pay for one if its worth it and not too expensive.

The payware version (~$2) of "GPS Test" allows you to mark locations that you have been. It displays them on a screen that looks like a radar screen, and gives you distance and course information. Unfortunately, you can only view one location at a time.

The regular "test" function gives you latitude, longitude, altitude, and speed.

Try GPS Hunt...

I tried it after a recommendation here.  Works great, save your route, track you as you go, overlay on a map, free, what's not to like?

Not to derail OPs thread but I’m looking for an app to help locate property lines on a rural lot.  Anyone have suggestions?  Trimble GPS Hunt Pro?

a GPS app probably isn't going to be accurate enough for property lines, unless you're satisfied with a few meters of error.  you can approximate the corners, but it's going to be difficult to load the map/imagery unless you're capable of doing the GIS work yourself (or know someone who can build/get custom georeferenced maps for you).

BackCountry Navigator works great for these kinds of things.  I used to use it to make dirtbike riding GPS tracks.  You can store waypoints and load .gpx files from Garmins, etc, into the app.  You can also export your .gpx files.  There is a trial version if you want to test it out first.

You can have different sets of waypoints, create waypoints wherever you want, and there are many different map sources.  The included USGS Topo map is my overall favorite.  When you create waypoints, you can change the icons, name them, navigate to them, etc.

I won’t be the one looking for markers but I could see that being difficult.
