Carpet cleaners will be called eventually, I'm just not sure when, but what is the best method of getting smells out of carpet? for the sake of the source, just say dog waste or similar  .

Depends on how soiled the carpet is.
If your pup peed on one spot - then clean the area thoroughly and follow up with the white vinegar as was mentioned previously - it takes the smell away so the dog doesn't return to the spot. It the carpet has been hit more than once or twice, I'd try a professional steam cleaning. If that doesn't work, time for some new carpeting. |
