Qatar starts the season later today. Under the lights in the desert.
Do we have another thread or can we make this one the official 2016 thread? Will be interesting to see the Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo dynamic this year. Especially with the new gag rules on not being allowed to say anything detrimental to the sport. |

I'm going to start the season by saying fuck Marc Marquez.
I was a fan of the kid, and I looked like a fool supporting him initially in that fiasco last year. ETA: Whatever kind of company Givi is, they are good at choosing umbrella girls............ and Espargaro is good at choosing girlfriends. Moving my way down the grid here ....... |

I'm pissed that Yamaha kept Lorenzo after he made them look so bad. Hopefully Valentino gets some payback on them both this year. I really don't think he'll be able to make a title run again like last year. I hope I'm wrong but we'll see. What time is the race in the US? |

Did you buy the App? How do you like it? I'm thinking of getting it for a month just so I don't have to listen to Scott Russel and the asshole race commentator for the Texas race. I swear as God is my witness, I almost can't watch the two American races because of the commentators. It's why I can't watch Moto America. The race commentary is beyond horrible. |

Unreal.
I would PAY to be in the Ducati pits, or the Ducati Race lounge at the Museo, on that last lap. Ducati has things sorted, and if given Tires that can be dialed in, this will one hell of a good year. Provided someone puts a friggin' shock collar on Crazy joe of course. Good to see Val go at it with MM like that!! He's not done. Not by any means. Houston, and the lead up to green flag, is going to be very, very interesting.
BTW gents. If you have Direct TV, call, and raise hell politely. Remind them that Fox sports programming is what you agreed to, and FS has the North American rights to MotoGP under agreement with Dorna. Them not carrying MotoGP on FS, is a bait and switch. Have them transfer you to customer retention, and lay out the case. They will offer a 10 dollar sports package upgrade....because they cannot offer MotoGP on FS, due to a corporate pissing contest. If you hold out, and mention dropping Direct for other options, there might be a chance they will throw BEin your way. |
| So lets see if I got this right? FS1 is no longer showing MotoGP? I have to watch it on BeIN which is not a HD channel with Comcast. If i want to watch it in HD I have to either get a pass on the MotoGp site, no idea what that costs. Or get a stupid soccer streaming online pass that is $10 a month. Um nope. Looks like no MotoGP or MotoAmerica for me. I already gave up on Super Bikes thanks to the crap BeIN channel. Yet another blow to the US fan base of motorcycle racing. |

Dovi seems extra motivated this year, perhaps because Jorge may be taking his seat?
Ducati has got to be unhappy with Crazy Joe, that was not a smart move. Just take the podium spot, I know beating your teammate is important- but you both have to finish. Bradl 7th on the Aprilia, anyone get to see the race? Is that bike looking at all competitive? |

Is that bike looking at all competitive? 7th was best of the rest before all the crashes. During the race, the real competitive bikes were 1-6th before Viniales and the Ducatis crashed, even Lorenzo was struggling farther back. Bradl wasn't in it ever. |

Well....
The tire bullcrap continues. The softs are shredding on the right side, and the hard compound tires showed up late Friday, so nobody got dial in time...again. With rain being a possibility, and another flag to flag being possible, some teams are getting understandably cranky. It's not just the Ducati support teams this time...all of them are having the same issue. Should have stuck with Bridgestone... Any of you guys in Texas, hanging trackside in Austin? |

MotoGP... REALLY big balls.
There's very few race machines I'd refuse to get on/in. However, Top Fuel Harley and a GP bike are two of them. I prefer a roll cage and some type of restraint.
Still, it's some of the most thrilling motorsport competition on the planet

I missed the thread for a bit. I just subscribe to motogp.com. ( although they do have an app, 'moto gp live experience' for $25 with live timing and such) It's $114 a season at moto gp.com, and you of course have access to all motogp content. And it's the "world feed" so you get that announcer crew. They're pretty good. |

Should have stuck with Bridgestone... Bridgestone tires are junk. This is what happens when you allow "spec" racing. When Bridgestone tires first showed up they were complete crap. Why? Because the bikes had been developed for either Michelin or Dunlop tires. Now after 7 years of Bridgestone being the single source supplier for MotoGP bikes it does not take a rokit sientist to figure out why Michelin is having problems. Give them a couple of years, the tire will get better and the bikes will be designed for the Michelin tires. They should have never gone with spec tires. |
