Hillary is probably gonna win no-matter what.  The GoP are just ensuring it if they do brokered convention shenanigans.

Only if she is running against Trump. (assuming no 3rd party horseshit).

There is not GOPe candidate that can beat Hillary.

It's Trump or nothing.

You don't have to like it - that's just the way it is.

It's crazy. The GOP political professionals are worried that Trump will lose in the general, so they want to derail him. But if he wins the nomination, and they run a third party or fail to support him, he will lose anyway. (And it goes without saying that they would lose too.)

A third-party effort isn't happening. Too many logistical hurdles. The only way to stop Trump is to support Cruz or Kasich in the remaining primaries, so that Trump doesn't have a majority of delegates on the first ballot. Then, wheel and deal at the convention to come up with some dark horse candidate.

It's not for nothing that the Republicans are called the "stupid party." They've blown away a golden opportunity to win, after 8 years of Obama and Hillary fatigue.

No, they're not.
They're worried that someone will get in that they can't control (that means Trump & possibly Cruz).
Both parties are the same - they want the gravy train to keep on rolling, because if it stops even for a little while they lose their stranglehold over the taxpayer.

What "conservatives" are talking about a third party run?

At this point, I don't even care. I predict Hillary is going to win and we need to get the hell away from this absurd two-party bullshit. It's going to be a rough ride.

Bring it on!
The establishment could keep him from getting the nomination.
Jeb or Romney have zero chance of winning on a third party ticket! It would be the end of the establishment forever!

They won't be voting for Hildabeast.  They'll be voting "it's time for a woman" and Bill Clinton presidency v2.0

It's just talk. Ballot access laws being what they are, they wouldn't be able to get on half the ballots. Oh, and the GOP shares the responsibility for those onerous ballot access laws.

I think the republicans want to blow it bad, so Hillary wins for the next 8 years. I reckon they love the good ole' boys clubs they have now and kick backs. Why ruin a good thing now!

In a normal year, yes, you'd be right. But this year its crazy.

Lets assume that trump gets it. He is strongly disliked by many, and I'd bet he'd lose, narrowly, but lose none the less.

Lets assume that someone not trump gets it. The trumpsters will be pissed, and many will boycott, and "non-trump" loses.

I see no realistic alternatives.

What if the GOP doesn't nominate Trump and Bernie doesn't get the nomination and

they both run third party. That would be interesting
