Are about to expire.

Should I renew for a fee, or is there something better.

Right now I have McAfee on 1 desktop and 2 laptop computers for $89.00 a year.

I put this in the computer sub forum, but I guess it will see a little more traffic here.

Thanks.

Do yourself a favor and go with Kaspersky.

You can find some pretty good deals on it through Amazon

He hates the McAfee brand now.
In one video he tells the FBI to not search for Jimmy Hoffas body under the McAfee corperate headquarters.
He said "its not there, I am serious, don't even look".

I use a combination of AVG and Malwarebytes, and have been for awhile now.  Both free.  No issues.  I don't do anything too risky with my PC, though.

I just use the stuff that comes free from Microsoft (security essentials in Win 7/8, windows defender in Win 10), never had a virus.

Bitdefender has a free version. Hasn't been updated for a while, but it still gets security patches.

I would go with that.

Two things:
First, you get what you pay for.
Second, one of the hallmarks of a good virus is to never let you know your machine is infected.

This is excellent advice for people that do not know how to computer.

For those of us that do, any of em are as good as the other, as we are very very very very very unlikely to get an infection.
