Im trying to take apart my pocket folder to clean it but I cant find a wrench small enough. A 5/64 inch one fits the tension screw but the one holding the frame together is even smaller.

I havent even seen a wrench small enough to fit it in a store tho, where can I fond one?

Have you tried metric sizes? Craftsman (Sears) has a small set that goes down to an extremely small size...

Damn metric!
Is it common practice to use both standard and metric size screws on the same thing?

unfortunately...yes. gm vehicles are an odd mix of u.s. and metric threads for example.

however, i would think your knife would be either metric or u.s. and not both.

If it's US sized, 1/16 & 2 or 3 others that are smaller exist.  .028" is the smallest I've used (MMC adjustable pistol sights).  If it's metric, standard small sizes are by the half-mm.

I'd start with Sears if you have one around. Radio Shuck, maybe, but tools are all probably from China.  Get them individually & get more than one...they break easily.

No, but 5/64" and 2 mm are so close they're interchangeable, as are 5/32" and 4 mm.

1.5 mm would be the next common Metric size down.  I find them on things like bicycle brake adjustment geegaws.

1/16" is one size smaller than 5/64". Have you tried a nutdriver? Xcelite makes some small size nutdrivers. I have a set of those.

LOL! At first I thought you meant allen wrench, and then I reread your post and the replies and I figured you were talking about regular socket hex wrenches. In that case you should be able to find a 1/16" about anywhere. Try Sears or Radio Shack or a store that sells electronics tools.

BTW, what kind of pocket folder is it?
