But...why isn't there a "Political Forum" here? A good percentage of the threads here in GD are the same old shit. A political forum would have far more traffic than a lot of the other forums here. JMO That said.. CRUZ '16 |

Good thought, but....
The result would resemble the last big fight scene in Blazing Saddles. After a few heated words and personal attacks, a fistfight would start. Then the entire forum would be fighting each other. Suddenly a team member would push a non-team member through a wall into another forum where an active discussion of 1911 vs. Glock was being filmed. All talk of 1911 and Glock would cease as that entire forum joined the fight, except for one penguin and a new member, soon to be familiar, who were last seen doing the backstroke together in the forum fountain. From there the entire theatrical escapade would overtake Team where the silence would be broken by a loud shot-like posting in all CAPS before the OP rides off into the sunset. No, this business would get out of control. It would get out of control and we would be lucky to live through it. |

Were I to post something for sale here, I'd be told to go to EE.
Were I to call someone out, "Take it to the pit." Were I to ask a tech question, I'd be advised this was not the correct forum. Were I to post a bikini, "Take it to BOTD" Rightfully so. How is this different? These political posts junk up a forum they don't belong in. They're like watching a kid's movie, over and over and over ad nauseum, because the child cries when you turn it off. |
