support them if you can...

they were sponsors for a while, and have help get a lot of jerry cans out to the survival forum people as the supply got pinched by the carb regs, but I guess they may have dropped it.

I've brought several of the good israeli blankets, they were intact, good to great shape (no holes or patches), but don't know about the other czech ones.

if you want something just to throw in the car, for emergencies and not regular use, the 2nds would probably do.

There is a small town woolen mill that uses the same equipment it started with in the 1800's.

I bought an old Woolrich blanket off Ebay last year in perfect shape for 70 bucks, new this blanket would go for close to 250.

Edit - The blanket I bought is full/queen sized, not army blanket size.

faribault woolen mill is the longest contracted US Military supplier.  They got a blanket contract in the 1890s, and still have the contract for horse/saddle blanket.

Having spent most of my life in Maine, I appreciate a good thick wool blanket.
The Prepandmore.com blankets are very nice. Super thick and warm! To give you an idea on the value
check out this other company selling Merino wool blankets from Poland. They look to be the
exact same thing, but not the subdued colors......mucho expensive.
Lot of good info about Merino wool......

They are but not what comes to mind when someone asks where to get wool blankets. I'm not putting a Pendleton blanket in the back of my car trunk for an emergency. Maybe if I was a millionaire.

You'd be better off buying one of the more recent vintage woodland sleep systems than that old intermediate bag
It would be OK to keep in the trunk for an emergency, I suppose

Yeah it was just the summer bag
Above it was the old intermediate temps bags that are worthless once they get wet
When it comes to the modular bags I wouldn't get just the summer bag
Spend the extra cash and get the whole system and then tailor it to your immediate needs

This.  I have half a dozen.  For eleven bucks you can't go wrong.   They are heavy and extremely warm.  The only downside is that they are fucking ugly and they stink when you first open them.
