This is Zeke.

The first picture is from two months ago when we first got him home. He had Giardia, Kennel Cough and Pneumonia.

The second pic is yesterday (he is 4 months and 4 days old). He is at 100% health and starts his training classes tomorrow. This picture really grabs his character; I did not catch this pic in mid-roll-over, he held that pose for a good 30-40 seconds, with no command, for no reason. My only explanation is he saw me with the camera and decided to show off.

He already knows; "sit, stay, down(lay), paw, roll-over, other paw, go to bed (crate), come, no, leave it, up, and off". Go to bed is his strongest, I can say it way out in the backyard and he'll run to the back door and wait for me to let him in, then darts straight to his crate. Up is his favorite, I can point at almost anything and say up, and he'll jump right up, or at least give it a good try.

Of course, he only listens if there isn't something else to take his attention. Thats what were hoping to gain with classes.

Share your puppy pics and stories.

This is me and Zeke playing with a retriever named Maggie (my sisters) and another (Chloe, my parents); As well as a rescued tripod Hound. Shotgun took off her leg, still has shot in her, but she's lived a fantastic life thanks to my sisters SO.

Three legged dogs are incredible.  We had a golden who lost her R front leg, you could not keep that dog still.  She still ran and swam as best as she could.  She still jumped off her fav rock into a pool in a creek.

This is our mini Schnauzer Nina in a pic we snapped on the way home after picking her up at the breeder.  This was the day before Thanksgiving.  The day after Thanksgiving we went back and got her sister, Mina.

I will bite.

This is Sara, my first dog. I was doing community service at the shelter for BAP. When her litter was brought in. I was put in charge of bathing the puppies. She was the only one that didn't run and cower from the water, she chomped at it. And later when I went to clean the cage she came up to me instead of huddling in the basket with her litter mates. She was just down for anything and fearless. So I took her home and she has been a great dog since.

Sara the day I got her in the basket of Petsmart cart

Sara a year later. This really captures her derpy-ness

Sara a week ago. She has had two surgeries for luxating patella but has recovered and can run again. She will be 5 on Oct 18th

This is Nira, dag two. Got her with my fiancée as a friend for my pup. The shelter found her wandering on the side of the road, she was malnourished and scared of people. The vet thought she had been beaten. She was so bad the vet was keeping her in the wall of cat cages. When we got her home it took her 3 days to move on her own. You could pick her up and set her down somewhere and come back 2hrs later and she wouldn't have moved and peed and pooped on herself. Now she is happy and healthy but has more energy then Sara knows what to do with lol.

Nira on the table at the shelter the day we got her

Nira last year

Nira yesterday. She will be 3 on Sept 4th

The Artful Dodger, AKA Street Urchin. A little stray rescued from the needle in southern California and shipped north to our local shelter. She started as a 9 month old puppy for the Granddaughter, but everybody knows how that turns out.  Already ate a LazyBoy sofa and any dog bed provided.  We're not sure of the breed but think there is a little Mini Pinscher in there somewhere.
