Lost my eldest boy on Wednesday the 20th. Lost his battle to cancer. His sisters have been acting depressed and sad yesterday was the first day I think they have acted somewhat normal.

I can't even imagine how unsatisfying my life would be without dogs in it.
I had a long discussion about dogs being in heaven with my cousin, who was VERY religious. She insisted there would not be dogs in heaven. My response was: 1. If there is supposed to be whatever you want in heaven, why couldn't I have dogs. 2. To her contention that dogs don't have souls, I asked her to explain to me what proof she has that either Dogs do NOT have souls, or in the opposite, that such as thing as souls even exist for any living creatures. Quoting any scripture would not count as proof any more than some atheist's writings would count as proof for any of their atheistic contentions. There was a famous conversation between a priest and a Native American chief where the priest was trying to convince the Chief to convert to Christianity. The Chief asked about the animals in heaven. The priest said that heaven is reserved ONLY for man, and that there could be NO wild things there. The Chief asked the priest why should he even desire to go to a place where there are no wild things (animals)...that sort of ended the priest's attempt at conversion. |
