Starting off with 2 NY strips, seasoned with olive oil and Borsari

I recommend the stuff to anyone who hasn't tried it yet, I can only find it at Whole Foods

Next is grilled Zucchini

Both grilled to perfection over charcoal

Finally all comes together, with a side of Greek salad

So, how did I do?

Definitely over cooked ... not sure why they look so unappetizing ?

Maybe your coals were not hot enough or something ... definitely something went wrong somewhere. They looked like great NY'ers when raw.

I'd like meat like that a bit more rare.

Bit heavy on the food food eats.

Steak is way too thin, you need a much higher heat to get a real good sear on the outside while keeping the inside rare or medium-rare. -1

Thanks for the input thus far, I will perfect my methods in the coming weeks to achieve what GD calls perfection. Admittedly the steak was a tad over cooked but it still tasted great.

And btw the binos are Zeiss' from west Germany that my grandfather gave me. Great for the range.
