Ok, so I'm getting older and I dont tolerate the cold like I used to. Couple that with my high blood pressure meds and my hands and feet get cold. I'm looking for a winter boot recommendation.

Needs to be warm down to zero, water proof but not overly bulky. I have an old pair Sorels for when I snow blow.

thanks!

Look for snow machine specific  boots OP, they are normally very light,  very warm, mostly waterproof and have great traction soles...

These are damn good ones and will satisfy what you want...

HMK also makes good boots ...

My non insulated GTX Matterhorns have been excellent down to the single digits, and 100% waterproof.

I had a pair of Thinsulate ones that were honestly too warm for me, and sold them.

Keen Wenatchee soft toe.

been wearing them for a couple winters now. Basically an insulated waterproof work boot minus the steel toe, comfortable, and durable.

Light thinsulate insulated boots (I have a pair from Cabelas), and Smartwool Light Hiker socks.  If it gets down into single digits, I go up to Smartwool Medium Hiker socks.

I just got a pair of these Keens - US made, seem pretty sturdy. I got them for $150 on amazon:

the Keens have 400 gms thinsulate. I would not want to walk any distance in them but for kicking around in the snow, walking the dog, range trips - they should do the job...

I'm a big fan of Baffin Shackleton pac-boots. They have good traction and you can even have them corked for ice.

Always buy 2 extra pairs of inner-boots so you can rotate a dry pair every day.

For around the house I wear Baffin Base Camp booties. Not much to them, but they keep my toes toasty.

I have all kinds of "winter boots" including Baffin and Sorels. My favorite hands down are the Muck Arctic Sports. I have two pairs and a boot dryer so if I am doing a bunch of stuff outside, I can dry one pair while wearing the other. They will make your feet sweat.
