I have been getting a DNS error there for the past 2 days.
Is any one else having trouble with their site? |

| I was on that site many years ago. Went back recently and it was very slow as far as posts. I remember that the guy who ran it was a clown and banned people all the time. No wonder it started dying. They also had too many dumb sub-forums that spread things out too much. |

When I go, I will check the reloading forum, GSSF forum, and maybe the general glock discussions. |

2 great moments came from that site back in the early 2000's 1 being when overnight glock owners with E series serial numbers basically flooded Glock with rma requests to send back their gun from one post off of glock talk where the owners slide rails shaved off and the other when people who constantly raved about the reliability of their glock realized hollow points wouldn't work with a certain mag follower.

I used to lurk there a long time ago. I found this place because glock talk got hacked one night (IIRC, it was the same night that bin laden got shot, don't know why I remmeber that) and there was a thread here about it. I started looking around, and bought a team membership that night. Haven't looked back since.
ETA wait, that's not right. I lurked here for a while first, then signed up. Only reason I remeber that now is because I looked at my join date. |

Which followers? the glocks that have a serial number that starts with an "E", some had bad metallurgy where the rails mainly the rear were breaking off right down to the plastic. I only remember seeing a couple of instances but gun owners being that they are freaked and flooded glocks phones. Glock would probably still issue an rma and would replace the frame with a new one and an amended serial number. It was a specific lot of "E's" you would call and see if your gun fell within the bad lot number. the followers were around 2000/2001 so I'm guessing a number 2 probably. People were bragging how there glocks were the most superior handgun posting targets but never once firing a mag of duty loads through their gun they would put thousands of rounds of wwb through their gun and only buy one box of duty loads and load their gun up with HPs when they got home not realizing that gun with that poorly designed follower would choke on the 2nd round. Glock would send out new followers once they flooded again. The original Mag pul glock mags reminded me of this . |

That is okay ... it made me work for a couple of hours to remember my logon information here!
I don't like any of those glocktalk people, so I proly won't like any of you people either.

I started out there after buying a Glock 23. Found this place through them, and never looked back.
They did give the world the Mall Ninja so at least something good came from it I guess. http://lonelymachines.org/mall-ninjas/ ETA: I was there for the original mall ninja thread and it was glorious. |

Becuase of the mods and the general attitude of "most" of the posters I wandered off. After flirting with TheFiringLine/Highroad and AssWeb I ended up here and never looked back. We don't talk about the times at Frugal Squirrels.........that's a topic for another thread and another day.
