Quoted: I thought this was going to be a GT-R thread. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Word. No doubt the current Vette is a beautiful and awesome machine and value, but when push comes to shove, raw AWD muscle is the ultimate, IMO. And no slight to current Vette owners - God knows I wish I could have one in my garage. Sweet American goodness, indeed. |

If you want to learn to drive on a track a Miata is the way to go without spending stupid money. Why wreck an $80k car learning how to drive?
Personally when you get up to or over 500 HP I like the idea of all wheel drive, so GTR if you are going to spend serious money or Porsche Turbo S if you have a few hundred grand. |
| "Previously enjoyed" C5 Z for the win. IMHO and research, dollar for dollar, its unbeatable. Of course my opinion is heavily biased. I also work on German cars for a living, and its a huge relief knowing I can replace virtually any part on the C5 for less than the cost of an air conditioning compressor for one of those Bahnstormers. |

Hard to beat the C6 and C7 vette for bang for the buck. The C5 ZO6 is a bargain high performance car with a lot of untapped potential to embarrass lots of high dollar super cars with just a bolt on super charger. C7 Z06 comes trubod from the factory. Didn't realize you were talking about the 5th gen. |

To be fair, a Taco with A Trac and locking diff makes a good sports car 6 months out of the year in Michigan........................

All of the extra HP means little if the driver parks it in the corner. |
