Does anyone make a LED version of the  GI style angle head flashlight with the color filters?  or a LED conversion?

I remember reading someone made a led conversion for them.

I had a few moonbeams still laying around, and used a Nite-Ize conversion in one (so far), and I like it much better than I did with it using the incandescent bulb

I have no idea if this would suit your needs but Bushnell makes a really good one for hunters.  It is powered with a single AAA battery, is LED, and has both a white and a red light.  VERY handy for my needs.  About $15.

Energizer makes several modern LED swivel-head flashlights, in their "Hard Case" series.

They use separate LEDs for each color, which is a lot more efficient than filtering a white light.

Inexpensive example here.
