I've come up with a new reasonable form of gun control I want to share.
I realized something significant as I looked at my firearms collection. Very few of them were bought for specific purposes. Sure, one's for deer, one's for pheasant, one's for training new shooters, but most of them were actually bought in response to anti-gunner crusades. Every time gun control and confiscation comes up in the news, I'll either throw a few dollars at the NRA-ILA or go buy another gun so I can mentally flip the bird at those guys. And what I realized was this: If it weren't for all the anti-gunners, I'd probably have a cheap bolt-action rifle for deer hunting and maybe a shotgun, and that's it. The majority of my collection is actually due to the anti-gunners! My proposal is simple: Ban anti-gunners. They're the reason I have so many guns, if they would just go away a lot of people like me would quit buying guns every month or two and the ownership numbers wouldn't be climbing so quickly. And surely this is a proposal both pro-gun and anti-gun individuals could support!

| While I was trying to be funny, I do think there's a point in there. How much smaller do you think the American gun industry would be if it weren't for the anti-gunners' efforts? For example, they singlehandedly made the AR-15 the country's most popular rifle simply by demonizing it. They could easily have targeted the M1A, Glock, or 1911 instead. |
